Northwest Alabama has an attractive opportunity for a Primary Care Physician. The existing opportunity is to join a well-respected, established Internal Medicine Practice, which consists of 4 Internal Medicine Physicians. The practice offers several ancillary revenue streams which include nuclear medicine, x-ray, ultrasound, full-service lab, as well as an occupational medicine department. Certified ancillary staff / technicians are employed by the practice in these departments, which create an excellent patient care environment. This practice structure has offered the ability for existing member physicians to maintain salaries well over the median for internists in the southeastern United States. The payor mix is heavily weighted to Blue Cross for the practice, however, can vary based on physician preference. The benefit package includes Blue Cross health and dental insurance, tax-deferred retirement and matching, as well as a profit sharing plan. Physicians of this practice also can take advantage of up to 4 weeks of annual leave and up to 1 week off for CME requirements. Entry into this practice also allows for a call structure of only 1:13. The practice also utilizes an electronic medical records system, e-prescribe and is always focused on remaining on the cutting edge of information technology.
The local community offers sub-specialty support with pulmonologists, nephrologists, urologists, and orthopedic surgeons. Also available is cardiac consultation, vascular surgery consultation, as well as dermatology, ophthalmology, OB/GYN, and pediatrics.
